I was born and raised in BC and have been involved in the dental field since 1995. Initially, I practiced as a certified dental assistant for 5 years during which time I learned to build and very much enjoy one on one connections with patients. As a result, I decided to become a dental hygienist and have had the pleasure of growing as a hygienist for over 15 years. After several years of practicing dental hygiene I obtained my credentials as a college instructor and taught dental hygiene at the Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene for a few years. I continue to actively participate in continuing education courses, study clubs and conferences for ongoing professional development as a dental hygienist. Furthermore, I am a good standing member with the CDHBC and the CDHA.
It is my belief that it is a privilege to be engaged in serving the community and I treat all patients like family, with love and care. With a gentle approach and thorough technique, my goal is to improve the overall health of the mouth and, by extension, the body. Patient education and self-care is as important as regular cleaning appointments, so I view the patient-dental hygienist realtionship as a partnership. I look forward to helping you achieve your Smile goals with the latest cutting edge technology in a relaxed and caring environment.
I am very excited and honoured to be a part of the successful team at Southridge Dental. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, skiing and practicing yoga.
